An oversized gear box with XL gearing which provides 50% more drag surface, coupled with a self-lubricating gear system, makes the Convector series some of the smoothest-operating reels in Okuma’s line. The Speed Loc Gearing System incorporates a dual-step pinion gear system pn star drag reels for positive engagement at high speeds. This system also allows for instant gear engagement and hooksets from freespool. The ergonomic forged-aluminum handle has a unique oversized handle knob for comfort and easy handling. All models include a light-weight, corrosion proof graphite body, a machined-aluminum spool, graphite rod clamp and an analog line counter. Type: Saltwater Conventional Reels.
